I Could Not Ask For More

Devin and I keep saying "I can't believe we have two kids". It's a little weird but so great. Things are going pretty well so far and we have had tons of help. Devin has had some time off work and that makes things a lot easier too.
But, more importantly, my baby Sam turned 3 years old yesterday. I was not really emotionally prepared for that one. I can't believe how big he is and how much he has grown this year. So many things that I've been worried about have turned out to be ok and I am so grateful for him in my life. He has been my sweet baby for 3 years, but now I guess he has to grow up. It makes me sad, but I'm so excited to see what the next year has in store for him.

Not sure if Sam likes Molly, or if he's already planning on squeezing her.

Waiting, Waiting and Projects

I seriously feel like a ticking time bomb. If this baby were going to be as early as Sam, then she would be born today. I don't really see that happening. Too bad for me. I really did enjoy breathing!

We have been getting ready for her and my list of projects for Devin to do just keeps getting longer. He has been so great to do what I ask and put up with me. (Don't feel too sorry for him. He has been getting lots of golf in too).

We have finished the office in the basement (much thanks to Devin, my dad and our brother in law Doug). It looks great.

We moved Sam down the hall into the old office. Devin painted it and I just love it! Sam loves it too and will gladly show you his new room if you come over!

Then we (I mean Devin) painted Sam's old room for "Sister Bear's" new room. (Sam is into the Berenstain bears). We just put a pink stripe where the blue stripe was. It's kinda strange to look in there and see pink. Cute but strange.

I will have to post a picture of her quilt when it is done. It is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I am ready for this little girl to come out. Clothes are washed and put away, my bag is packed, and I got a hair cut and my toes done. But I don't have cankles yet. Does that mean I'm really not ready? Can't wait to see her.

Update: my favorite names are currently Molly and Charlotte. Can't decide. Thanks for all your suggestions. Keep them coming. Any ideas for a name with the nickname being CoCo? All I can think of is Courtney and Nicole.

Any ideas on what to name this baby girl that is coming in 6 weeks? (Hopefully only 3-4 weeks!)
I'm having a hard time liking almost anything but I like short names or names that can be shortened. (Samuel to Sam...)
Any ideas are appreciated.
I can tell it's getting close. I'm anxious for her to come and the grumpy switch is now ON! Just ask Devin (poor guy).

Cheese!

On Saturday, I made my boys wear their matching shirts. Aren't they so cute?! That is Sam's cheese face. It disappeared for a while and I'm happy it's back. It's pretty funny.Not in pain, just his Cheese face.

Sam loved getting a haircut, but mostly just loved the novel idea of a spray bottle. He now wants to spray everything and everyone. Watch out during bath time!
Sam is getting really into his Legos that he got for Christmas. He has also learned that if something breaks he can easily put it back together. That results in a lot less tears!

As I type this post, Baby Kung-Fu is kicking the laptop. I guess she wants some screen time too. We got a $10 Kohl's gift card in the mail from Kohl's and I had a fun time picking out these two onsies and booties. All for a whopping $1.60. How's that for a deal?! I am getting excited for this baby to come out and honestly I wish she was out right now. Devin and I have learned that I'm not really good at being pregnant. Well, I'm just not "happy pregnant". I am very happy to be having a new baby though. Only 8 more weeks!!!!

My Big Boy

As I get closer to meeting this little Kung-Fu baby that is inside me, Sam seems to grow by leaps and bounds every day. He is no longer a little boy. And that makes me sad and happy at the same time. He is SO much fun and I love being with him every day.
Here are some things we've been up to:
We went to Kangaroo Zoo with our neighborhood friends.

He now sleeps in a Big Boy bed. No more crib for this little monkey. He loves his bed and his Thomas blankey. There are so many stuffed animals sometimes it's hard to find room for Sam. He still sucks his thumb and rubs his soft crib sheet on his nose when he goes to sleep.

He got a "bike". Now when he sees a motorcycle, he says "Me". We fight back and forth about if he will get a motorcycle when he is big. Bottom line: over my dead body.

He likes to ride it inside too. Isn't he just the coolest?

Sam really enjoyed getting an Easter basket this year. What's not to love about M&Ms and new matchbox cars?!

He loves Thanksgiving Point Farm. He has a new fascination with Bunnies. My brother's girlfriend, Tara, has a super cute bunny named Bella so Sam calls every bunny Bella. Even his stuffed one.
Sam rode on a horse. We were so proud of him. He wasn't scared at all and smiled the whole time. This was a huge "Big Boy" moment for him. I may or may not have had a tear. (Like everything, I blame it on the pregnancy).

We also rode on the horse pulled wagon. He loves that thing!

I have no idea how it will be having 2 kids. To be honest, I'm a little scared. But if this little girl is anything like Sam, I think it will turn out ok. (Only 10 more weeks to go)

all before he leaves for work to earn all the moolah!
